LOL, well you've been trying to get your weight down for the past 38 years without success, so by my reckoning you have fat (pun intended) chance of doing it now.

Please don't mention my hair again as I am easily upset

San Mig light is great, really crisp - but must be super yen! If you get a bottle with a little ice on it its bloody great! Roll on half a dozen tonight followed by a night in front of the golf! Grand Prix tomorrow! What a life. :thumb: :thumb:

and even Ye Looking-glasse be betterly made. Cast thine Eye hither:

Farang, what is that black beer; is that available now or something from the past?
In Indonesia they have something like that, but it's very sweet and sickly.

I am sorry to tell you the Black Beer, nee Black Tiger, has not been available in LOS for many a moon.
It was the best black beer of not the pedigree of German of Czech (freshly brewed) dark (dunkles)
beer it has been my privilege to enjoy. It flourished but for a brief moment. It was born as Black Tiger
and promptly forbidden to use that name by Tiger Beer of Singapore. It renamed itself
Black Beer and continued to be available with no discernible marketing nor any other visible back-up
by the producers. It quietly went away due to appallingly stupid (non-existent) marketing
and is missed by the very, very few beer lovers who ever got to know of it.

The Indonesian stuff is ABS Stout, also brewed in Singapore.

Its not the best in the world, and used to complete with Singapore brewed Guiness, which was equally unpleasant.

Winkie, that was the stuff and you could get a bottled Guiness as well, they both tasted like treacle.

Beer

San Mig Light if available (I only found one place with it) I really got into it in the Philippines where it is the only real option.
If not Leo again not stocked everywhere so most drunk was Singha - Chang is too strong to be refreshing for my taste.

When in HH I try a few Singa's, usually too many.

When I'm in Nangrong I drink Chang with ice

Beer Lao is by far the best tasting beer in Southeast Asia (has won many awards). Why can't we get it in Hua Hin? A few bars have it in Bkk.

Cant vote as it is horses for courses:

Hieneken - normal drinking stuff....

Singha....when the Hienie runs out

and

Chang....when a baseball bat to the head is just a bit too fast a knockout. Only consumed in the company of friends who can send me home.

Beer Lao....when I can get it

Leo...only if I want a tongue like a badgers arse and a head like a wasps nest the next day.

Tiger....? hmm......jury is out on that.
