Anger Management

Post by Cowtown Comedy »

I just returned from Immigration Office (near the Burma border) :P. I watched this XXXL farang explode into a fit of absolute rage towards the staff out there. His face was red like a tomatoe, and every 5th word that he screamed started with f and ended with k. He obviously had no clue about LOS, and embarrassed himself, the Thais and the other farang. I've been in LOS for 3 + yrs and that was the worst display of farang behavior I have ever seen . They finally got him corralled and directed him outside where he wasnt causing such a scene. I love the people in that office, and it really upset me to see that performance. I never go into that office unless I'm armed with a tray of pomelo...amazing how nice those people are.

Was he wearing a pair of fake camel actives by any chance ?

Bored looking girl with a new gold chain round her neck in one hand ,beer chang in the other ?

Glancing around occasionally with a lascivious "Uncle Ernie" leer on his face at the uni girls sitting side-saddle on their waves and finos ?

What must the Thais think of us when we allow this kind of export ? No wonder they have such tight regs on visas .Perhaps they are not as stupid as a lot of people think .

why was he so mad? Overstay fine......border closed because of the storm....having to wait 20 minutes for the officer to finish his cup of tea? why?

The reason I ask is that one time I was in there some guy was kicking off because they were charging him an overstay fine....he'd overstayed a week not one or two days.

After kicking off he turned to me as a sympathetic farang ear.... I pointed out that he was acting like an idiot, gaining nothing by shouting, and that in England he would probably be arrested and deported with an endorsed passport for overstaying, not fined.....

I agree, I do wish people who reply to posts read the original. Sometimes I really think some of these people are away with the fairies.
Anyone who had lived here any length of time, know they will get absolutely nowhere with a Thai if they display that sort of temper tantrum. I have always found plenty of smiling even if you are angry and keep your vioce at an even keel and you will be treated with the same respect.

CC & Gail. They did read the original. They're just taking a joke from a couple of other threads a little too far.

Hijacking other people's threads to make 'in' jokes that others don't understand might also be perceived as farang rudeness, though. Just my opinion. ;)

Back on topic, please guys & no more hijacking. :) :offtopic:

Sandman, to answer your question, the XXXL didn't think he needed to go to Penang for a 90 d t-visa, demanding it be processed in soi 102. I feel sorry for the folks in Georgetown when he arrives. Maybe a big plate of tandoori will cheer him up. FYI, his wife was farang and she sat in the back row like nothing was going on.
