If I feel a falang biz overcharges me I go elsewhere.
I don't care who the guvnor is, I won't pay 100 for a small Chang and I won't pay 400 to eat the same thing I can get somewhere else for much less.
Recently someone mentioned having a plate of pasta for 380/portion and seemed to think it was good value. Well thats a falang price for sure as its about what I'd pay in Canada. The place won't get my business but they won't care anyway so its moot.
There is another resto that gets a lot of favourable comment on HHAD so we went to try it.
Small portions (4 pcs of chicken) w/rice and cucumber garnish, average cooking and it was 400 for two of us.
My gf said it was very poor value, particularly when compared to one place we go frequently where you can get half a chicken, a whole BBQ fish, som tam and sticky rice, all much tastier IMO, and about 300 for two of us including 3 big beers.

I think you'll find that is exactly what I did :? The reaction of the first Tuk Tuk driver having our pet driver basically box him in was well worth the wait.

As said before I think the best way to approach it is to know the price of what you're buying before hand - then you can tell whoever is trying to pull a fast one to get stuffed!

There really is no excuse for over charging, no matter what nationality the business or customer is, its just pure greed.

johnnyk, I am used to it, I do make use of the options and what you say is the only course of action to take.

BUT

It doesn't make it right.

Sorry if I seemed like I was talking from a high and mighty viewpoint, wasn't my intention.
