Thai cookery classes/lessons

So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.

Thai cookery classes/lessons

Post by Paderborn »

Hi does anyone out there know anywhere in town that we may learn the delights of thai cookery?
We are resident, so a course, attending over a few weeks would be fine,
Thanks in advance

Not sure this helps but the larger hotels I believe offer courses, prob at a cost though.
It would be cheaper to find an English speaking Thai Chef and have him visit your house, get some friends togeather and share the cost... :D

Thai Cookery classes/lessons

Richard told me that his daughter had spent an evening at Sara Janes learning some Issan cooking. I still need to get more info but assume they won't charge too much.
Seem to vaguely remember seeing ads in a shop - maybe a travel agent - down near All Nations I think it was. There were certainly lessons which included the market shopping first for the right ingredients, which would be useful.
Hope someone can provide more info as I'm interested as well, but not at big hotel prices!

That is right Maggie. The Buchabun little souvenir/handicraft shop close to All Nations advertised with cooking courses. Provided by the owner of the shop Nathalee at her house. So Paderborn you can call her at 081 572 805 and ask.

I'm sure there's a place that advertises in the tourist brochures that does cookery courses, combined with shopping for the stuff in the day market.
