Fish and Chips

Post by HHTel »

This is directed at my fellow countrymen from the UK.

We/I miss a good fish and chip supper. I can sincerely recommend the 'Hua Hin Fish Shop' by the railway line. Going to Gee's supermarket, turn right before the railway line and it's there on the left opposite a new condo building. Not flash, only a couple of tables inside, but their cod/haddock/halibut/scampi/pies and chips are superb. Mushy peas second to none.

My mother, who visits for 3 months every year and is a fish and chip conoiseure (She comes from Hull) eats there regularly.

N.B. No business interest on my part. Just giving a recommendation.

Thanks, Tel, been meaning to go there for a while. There's a thread around somewhere that covers it already, but now that you've reminded me I think I might manage a visit tomorrow...

As Tel rightly says, it's spot on. Well worth a try.

Fish n Chips

Post by Pagey »

Coming from Hull and living in Saudi Arabia for 6 years, the one thing I miss is fish n chips...........Battered hamour fish is just not the same :cuss:

I mainly eat Thai food when on holiday but when I get a craving for Western food I will go there....passed it last time while on a walk, the condo opposite that Tel mentioned is the new Tiraa Tiraa I believe.

Tel : we will have to have that drink in Sep when I am back

Well I just been there and the Thai lady said can't do food today as Richard in BKK.
Does that mean Peter has moved on ?

Just had Cod and Chips - plenty of salt and vinegar, tartar sauce - bloody lovely. Proper chips and a nice thick piece of cod. Great job to Richard and the staff.

They have both

There last night and chips are an option . Thick or crinkly

Also do take aways and deliveries

Do great pies as well

Staff pleasant and Richard always open to suggestions

Got to get to him yet about savaloys and pickled eggs and pickled onions

Joyce will be opening up the old Bamboo Grove soon. Friday darts as usual starting this Friday. Sunday roasts (contact her to pre-book), pies and probably fish and chips.
