Hi all,
I'm going to have 7 days in Thailand and planing to hit Hua Hin for only 1 night then continue to Chiang Mai.
But I want to have a stop over at Sukhothai on the way. Could I take the bus from Hua Hin? and where to catch it.
Thanks dear

Nice to hear from you again Linh. Greetings from Finland. I took a bus to Khorat from HH in early April and it stopped in several places on the way. A friend of mine took the bus to Chiang Mai and said it stopped on the way. Most likely it will stop in Phitsanuloke, which is not too far away from Sukhothai. The problem is that it will probably be in the middle of the night when you reach Phitsanuloke.

Hello Linh,
Good to see you back.
There are no government buses from Hua Hin to Sukhothai that I have ever heard of. The best way I know is to get the Hua Hin minibus to Victory Monument and then the Sky Train North to the Northern Bus Terminal (Mochit). Many buses go to Sukhothai.

An alternative and more relaxing is a train from Hua Hin to Bang Sue and change on to the train to Phitsanulok. Sukhothai is about 60KM to the west and there are government bus services and minibus services to take you there. You need to check the time table on site below but bear in mind that the Hua Hin to Bangkok train could well be as much as two hours late at Bang Sue but usually about one hour.

Happy trails.

Last Spring they only had one to Chiang Mai. These Buses leave from a new station between Market Village and Soi 102.

New to me although I know all the southbound trips have moved terminals. Maybe someone in Hua Hin check it out.
The question was about Sukhothai. I am not sure if the bus goes through Sukhothai and if it does, will it stop?
As BG said Pitsanulok is not much use in the middle of the night.
