Spinach

I've been telling my wife for many a year that this green vegetable is good for you but I thought it only grew in cooler climates.
Anyway she came back with a lot of green stuff this afternoon. I've now found out that's it's called pak kom (can't do the accents).
Popeye, here I come.

No, no, Richard - I know they look similar, but they can't possibly be sprouts, not at 90 baht for 5... :shock:

JDs Ham and Bacon co sells sprouts I got some there delicious

I'm partial to a bit of spinach too...far more versatile a veg than many think.

I was trying to explain what it was to get the correct Thai word for it without much success until we were watching Popeye on TV...Oh yes Pak Pop-Eye!

Had less success with 'Olive oil' though.
