Suggest a good place to fly remote control airplanes in HH.

Post by niceday »

Drove around an hour yesterday looking for a open area with not many trees and a patch of grass to drop the plane on.
The plane can be just thrown for take off.

Have you seen a common place people fly them here?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Them 2 engine ones they sell in G shop work well but space and wings need to be covered in clear box closing tape to strenghten or they will dent and break too easy. new wings I'm told can be made with that 40baht a sheet plastic board from big c.

Go up Soi 102 and over the railroad. Have a look around there. You may find a suitable place to land.

Take a machette with you just to make sure.

Early or he would land on that stream of bar girls.
Surprised the hilton still allows them annoying kids selling flowers in around the tables. Imagine having the parents they have. Always the same kids too.

Niceday,

I have just remembered something. There is a Thai guy in Nebkerhardt Road who sells aeroplanes (and helicopters). His main line of business is a printing shop.

You willl find him opposite the school about 100M north of the Chom Sin traffic lights. Look out for the Heidlberg printing presses.

Must be worth having a chat with.

Good luck and keep me posted. I fancy having a go myself.
Voted the best bar in Hua Hin three years in a row.
Well stocked fridge. Good music, pool, cable and UBC TV. Water features, fish, no hassles no chocolate starfishes.

My nextdoor neighbour was out yesterday flying his air controlled helicopter. Apparantly there was some kind of meeting with competitions for enthusiasts in Prachuap over the weekend.
Don't know if this is a regular thing. I'll try to find out more and get back to you.
