Very sorry to hear that - I hope she's young enough to shake it off easily.

And .... after getting a high fever and being re-tested, she's now positive and is currently confined in the Hua Hin Commercial College.
So two weeks. Or was she infected later by someone else who was also there on 30th? Hope she has a speedy recovery.

hhinner, we need you or one of the other clever people to explain the extent of the booze ban. I was in doubt regarding whether there was a total ban after reading the 'translation'. My daughter-in-law says definitely a booze ban, but I trust your translation better. :D

She's actually the same age as my daughter, 32 - so hopefully she'll have as mild a case of it as my daughter did when she caught it about a year ago.

At least my daughter's had both doses of the vaccine already, so should be OK from here on in.

Thanks for the good wishes. I think I've been getting her news with a few days delay, via intermediate relatives, so she may have actually tested positive a couple of days ago.

I can confirm 7-11s are still selling beer.

[Edit] I'm now pretty sure the additional alcohol ban is restaurants are no longer allowed to serve alcohol.

I only see a ban of consumption of alcohol on eateries.

Also gardening association is a mistranslation, obviously. Basically they're referring to various levels of local government such as kamnan, puyaibaan, etc.

Thank you for the confirmation.

I guess it'll be time to watch the restaurants get their tea pots out again, and watch Farangs disappear into back rooms again

Quite a surprising drop off. Wonder if somgkran meant less testing was carried out ?

I saw that too and wondered if it has anything to do with Mondays?

So Tuesdays figure is for Monday cases, then Wednesday for yesterday

I reckon Monday will be the busiest testing day after the weekend, hence the drop

Just a theory.....

Unless I’ve missed it, the one thing that’s missing is the number of people being tested - this would make the results much more meaningful.
