BaaBaa. wrote:Well they should have Muay Thai.

They have horses prancing about and other obscure events but not one of the biggest sports in Asia.

Plus Thailand would probably get a few Golds.
Sepak Takraw, the SE Asian game where you kick a small basket-work ball over volleyball net is certainly played by a lot more people in the world than some of the events that feature in the Olympics now.
They have it in the SEA games as well as Muay Thai.

Its funny we were discussing dressage on this thread . I have just heard on BBC world there is a doping scandal in the equestrian events no details as yet but dont be surprised if they became suspicious when the dressage horse started doing the Micheal Jackson Moon walk      :lach: :lach:

The BMX is a farce. You coast over the bumps and if you don't hit the first bend in 1st or 2nd, forget it. With the cyclists cruising over the bumpy bits you only have three bends where you are doing any pedalling at all. No chance to catch up whatsoever. The course is too short.

Looks like a cycle and kit manufacturer has 'bunged' the Olympic Committee. Either that or some consultant has scammed the old farts into catering to the 'yoof' crowd.

Riding the Bumps is part of the skill of BMXing or it would just be Cycling.

Why should you be given a chance to catch up?

I like BMX, prefer half Pipes and tricks but I think it deserves to be in there over some of the other crap.

Hi BaaBaa. No offence intended but c'mon. How many adults do you see riding BMX's down the street? It's a kiddie's bike!

They could make it more interesting by incorporating other kiddie's fads. Make it a bit like a Triathlon. Off the bike, straight onto the Space Hopper. Winner gets a Gold medal plus a box of Hoola Hoops.
