It's all about one thing and one thing only $$$$$$$$ via power. Democracy, best interests of the people, corruption-free governmnet etc etc does not come into it.
They are all Thaksin's in disguise.

Sarge, your ideas are admirable but as others have stated they won't happen for a very long time. All the politicians and wannabes have seen how much can be creamed off by the results of Thaksin's herculean efforts. They all want a slice of that pie, he's lead a very good example to follow, "Pua Thaksin" party is just another incarnation to extend the creaming.

If they’re not careful, the only people who’ll show up for the vote will be the ex-PPP members who were reportedly offered 55 million to change sides!MPs to be paid Bt50m if they're sick on Monday's PM vote : Suthep
The Democrats are concerned about a last-ditch attempt to spend Bt50 million in order to derail Monday 's vote for their party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva as prime minister, party spokesman Buranat Samuttharak said Sunday.
"Party secretary general Suthep Thuagsuban has confirmed about the payments to MPs if they agree to take a sick leave during the vote for prime minister," Buranat said.
With an extra estimated 1 million plus out of work in 2009 due to the PAD induced collapse of the tourist industry and the global economic meltdown, I have a feeling that a lot of anger is going to be directed towards the PAD. Debate in Thailand seems totally divorced from the harsh realities of the economic meltdown in America, Europe, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Malaysia and Singapore. When that reality hits thailand with the resultant high unemployment, vacant shops and factories, I feel that the political landscape will change. I have no doubt that one TS will be loudly proclaiming that in his hands the situation would be a lot better.
The only anger directed towards PAD is from the red shirted mob that lost on the day. They'll be back though and so will the yellows, one man is responsible for the division in Thailand - and he is doing all he can to widen that gap.JAJA wrote:With an extra estimated 1 million plus out of work in 2009 due to the PAD induced collapse of the tourist industry and the global economic meltdown, I have a feeling that a lot of anger is going to be directed towards the PAD.
