Place to play chess?

You can get very cheapo plastic chess sets in a little toy store thats on the new section of widened road that goes to Pala-U.

Kanchanaburi is a province about 3 hours north of here.

I have just rembered where I have seen some fairly nice chess pieces in Hua Hin. Ther is a stationery shop in Hua Hin in Sa Song about a few doors from the corner of Chom Sin. I don't remeber seing any boards but I am sure that there a draughts boards available that could be used.

I have seen, people playing Chess, on the sidewalk, just out in front of the central Thai market, the old historic Thai market, in the center of town, on Petchakasem Road. You might check that out also.
