Guess it depends on whose being paid off, anyone figured out yet why the Hau Hin immigration office is smack in the middle of a mass of housing developments at a location of no help to anyone needing to go there?

Because the municipality (tessaban) received the house & land for free from the female land owner.

Exactly, and what did the land owner get in return one must ask...

Also seems bizarre that the government who have masses of land can't or won't locate it a little more conveniently. I'm surprised they didn't put it on that little island off the coast - it would have been easier to get to!

I guess this is for another thread.

Translate to what language?

German: Nie nicht seit dieser Zeit und sind Sie frei zu tun, was Sie wollen.
Oder wie das?

Original quote from Norseman very easy to understand

I think Norsman meant that once that person give land to the Imm Office they would never have any problem from the Municipality with anything that went before them on her behalf.

Perhaps the land owner wants to build somewhere else in town, or open business somewhere where it difficult to do so.
Instead of offering backhander in money, she offers it in land.

At least the town benifits from the gift and is not in someones back pocket, also could not be seen as a blatant bribe.

Same Same but Different (As they say in LOS).

I'm not sure I agree with chelsea - grease is grease - but come on huahinsimon, it's too easy to have a go at someone who's not a native English speaker. Have you never heard the expression 'never say never?' I'd imagine it's a rule many of us in Thailand live by.

Wasn't 'having a go' I did enjoy the German Translation and thank Herr Norseman for that. I'm half assed in German, Ich bin ein halbes Po auf Deutsch, see what I mean. How would one say that or is it one of those non translateables .But I can crack off an good nach ein Bier, Bitte! und ou est la pisseaux? upps wrong language. schisse

But I'd stll like to know how this legion of farangs run around Thailand selling property when its expressly on the forbidden list.
