I was in HH on my first visit at the time and decided on a visit to the pier - and there was the shark spread-eagled on the deck!
Not a pretty sight with congealed blood lodged in its mouth!
Would have taken a photo but not knowing any different I thought a catch of this nature may have been the 'norm' for the area but pleased to hear it's a very rare occurance!
Maybe I should have realised by the interest being shown by the gathered locals it wasn't a regular event! Thank goodness! Next visit I'll go above ankle deep into the sea!!
