Big Fish

Post by Stu-Pot »

I heard a report of a Monster fish(500 kg +) being unloaded from a fishing boat at HH pier during the week. Possible a good size shark???

Has anyone seen it or heard to same thing?

I did hear that a shark was landed at the HH fishing pier last week by a local fishing boat.

I'll try to find out more.

Ok,

I have seen pictures which were taken on the Pier and I can confirm with 100% certainty that the fish in question was a Great White.
Approx 4 metres nose to tail. I was amazed as I would never have expected a GWS to be in these waters. Beautiful creature

Could not find out how far off it was caught, but by a larger boat I believe.

Most unusual in these parts .I would love to see the pictures .At least in Thailand all of it will get eaten as opposed to finning ships that just cut of the fins and throw the poor creatures back in alive to die slowly .

Agree with the above, Great Whites are cold water sharks which the gulf of Thailand definitely is not.

Strange no pictures available

If this was landed by a big boat it's likely the boat was way south in deep waters where it hooked or netted it there. They are usually out for 10 days or more

Imagine the impact on tourism if HH became Amityville 2

It's certainly NOT a wind up.

One of my regular customers was present when it was unloaded and confirms that it was a Great White.

But STILL no photo - must be someone who has one.

If this thread is to maintain any credibility a photo must exist somewhere!!!

As mentioned, I have seen pictures, although they were taken on a mobile phone and then the files transferrred several times before finally being printed.

I will try to get hold of it and somehow post it to prove the point

I have seen the pics and it does look like the real thing. I have spoken to several people and they say that it must have been caught a long way from here.
