My apologies and thanks for the corrections.

I can see I placed too much reliance on the restaurant owner's comments.

Bah, don't take it personally, Mr P! For some reason I've yet to fathom people love to get snotty about restaurants. Some members even manage to eat there occasionally. I love pizza, and so do many Thais. I can't abide Thai pizza, mind you - it's so sweet it should be on the dessert menu.

But I'm curious about the owner's comments. Where are they?

Back up a couple of posts DT...

'Is it fair to assume that everyone knows that Thais find Pizza tasteless just because you do? Not everyone has spent so long in LOS that they will know this. The owner, a nice chap, does. We discussed it.'

Just to expand on the conversation, I asked him how the food was, thinking he was a guest and he said he was the owner. When I mentioned the g/f and daughter were trying Pizza for the first time he cautioned not to have too high expectations, Thais don't usually like Pizza. He then went on to tell me about his own wife, who he took to, what he felt was, the best Pizza place in Italy and she still didn't care for it.

Nitpickers 'at ease'... I can't recall if he said 'usually', so I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Cheers.

Even though my wife has been here in the states 14 years, she still dislikes cheese. Pizza she does like as long as it's not 'too cheesy'

and to qualift my previous comments - my experience is that the pizza of whatever type is just the middle man for transferring the ketchup from bottle to mouth. It just seems to be one of the favourite means of so doing.

Second visit a few days ago - again pizza was great - one with smoked salmon was a real treat.

Will try some pasta next time i think!

Staff were doing a sterling job trying to handle a 5 year olds birthday party! :thumb:

Went and had a good Pizza last night but noticed the menu was different in so far as the prices had been increased. Pizzas' up by Bht20 and Chang ( Large) from Bht80 to 95.

As it has only just opened this is disappointing and I am not aware the Chang distributors have raised their prices.

Was in with a pal for first visit 2 nights ago and enjoyed it very much.
Appetizer of smoked salmon for 220THB.
I thought I'd see if he could make a good lasagna and it was excellent. Nice tasty bolognese sauce, good pasta and put under a salamander (I'm guessing) to meld the cheese and top layer of noodles. Very tasty for 190THB.
My friend sprung for seafood spaghetti. It was ringed by a circle of clams and a big fat prawn across the top. Sauce was tomato/white wine nice and peppery and you could tast the vino. 190THB.
Good service without being sucky.
A return visit is merited.

i think me and the gf ate here when it first opened not the greatest italian in the world but reasonable i got the chef to make crostini with mozzerella and anchovies which was not bad but not on menu at the time owner gave us some liqueur at the end of the meal gratis ( i suspect this was to cover his embarressment at the price of his wine) but a nice gesture all the same.
probable wouldnt go back as it dont compare with the one at sukhumvitt plaza in bkk "La Casa"
CDK

there are three sorts of people in this world those that can count and those that cant
