My impression was it is only free if it is below an x number of baht. Don't recall what x was though. And I may have been halucinating.

Point by point,

We were told about the free water from relatives in Surat Thani. Everybody her knows about it.

I am not surprised that guy a few doors along from sargeant does not know about it. The Suzuki shop have never heard of BHP, the "technical" guy at the electricity board did not know what a watt was and the cable TV company told me I could not have satellite and cable TV on the same length of co-ax.

The concessions are for householders only. The thresholds put them out of the range of commercial premises anyway.

Hua Hin have always been slow in collecting water bills. It is possible that they have not caught up with the start date yet. You really need to look at your bill and read every detail.

A Hua Hin conspiracy?? Last year a large electricity fraud was uncovered at Soi 96 so anything is possible.

I have gone back over this topic and i am confused
quote pete
"This is a NATION WIDE economic incentive program."
whats the incentive for to NOT use so much water   :? :?

Quote from the link niggle supplied
"-The government will pay water bills for low-income households that consume fewer than 50 m3 liters each month."

can somebody explain 50m3 liters
50 cubic metres liters dont make sense to me :? :?

A cubic meter has a thousand litres in it, so I suppose they mean 50,000 litres.

You'll be all right then Sarge. That's just three articulated tankers full. You can take a shower every month after all.

It could be 50 million cubed liters. You will be able top up the gulf and get the beach closer to your house.

Of course it could mean you have to live 50 miles away and only use 3 liters per month. That'll be why I get mine free.

Oh BTW it's only for Nationwide customers. Who do you wank bith?

I am beginning to think this is joke even if i go with sj at 100 litres to a cubic metre thats still 5,000 litres (or 500 large drinking water bottles) thats a hell of a lot of water. I have just pushed my sorry fat behind and looked at my meter and it is measured in M3. I have just dragged 3 bills at random from my bin drawer and the average is about 35 cubic metres a month bills on average 150 baht a month.
no decrease and as i say payed every month and so far nobody around my place has heard of it :? still waiting for my spys though. :?

Sarge, according to a watery website I’ve found, the average Brit uses 147 litres of water a day, so if you are getting through 35,000 litres a month, you could have 7.93 average Brits living in your house.
Of course in Britain you don’t have to water the garden as it’s raining all the time, so maybe that’s where it’s all going.
If you are only using 3,500 litres a month you could only have 0.793 of a Brit living there, so one of your arms and the rest of the family are going dry!

It is 50 cubic metres. SJ wrote square metres not cubic metres. It was joke. You cannot fit an area into a volume. It would be like having a motorcycle with a 3 cm engine.

Anyway as SG says it's a hell of a lot of water for a month. 3 tanker loads.

Really confused now
After my initial post raising the subject and then bieng told we got no bill due to the measure, I got a bill yesterday for 22 baht. Went to water board this morning and was presented with bills from 12 May to 24 August - total 490 baht. I asked about free water scheme and got a look blanker than I get when I talk to 'er indoors so I paid up and left.
Previous post link suggests only free if less than 50 cubic litres - how much is that ?

50 cubic metres equal 50,000 litres.
You only live once.
