Exactly the point.

The FA interview Obe and were satsified that he wished to play Chelsea. Additionally they had insufficient evidence to prosecute anybody especially as Obe out of sheer panic in a foreign country and in an inklnow environment signed the contract. The ruling was therfore made that Obe should be transferred back to his intended destination with Chelsea paying the already agreed fee with their agents of 12 Million pounds. If you believe British press gossip, which I don't, this left Manchester United out of pocket to the tune of about 5 Million pounds with Obe not making one kick of the ball for Manu as fars as I know. I believe he was shipped out to Norway until the FA had made ther ruling.

I do not believe that Chelsea or Man United staff or supporters would have been aware of any of this. It is possible though that the businessmen in charge of Man United had some involvement.

Although the FA have had their final word I believe the Police are still investigating corruption between business intersted parties and their agents.

Despite the fact I can not stand Manchester United I stiill would manitain that it would be unfair on their players and supporters if they are found to be impicated in this and the whole club were penalised. But of course in England, people are considered innocent until proven guilty. If guilt is not proven of course it does not mean they are innocent. However if ther is enough evidence to prove that corrupt pratices have been used, then the individuals alone should face the music not the entire compliment of staff, players and supporters.

BTW higgy this has already been well covered in the world's press and is an old story now. I was just using it as an example.

I'd agree with that. We were on Italian football. But the principles should be equally applicable in England.
Yes I agree. Of course there are good things and bad things about all countries. Unfortunately Italy has been marred by corruption for many centuries. The fact that this latest scandal was uncovered indicates that at certain levels they are moving in the right direction.

Corruption has generally been kept under control in England which is one of its redeming features.

As for Big Boy. Great idea. Why don't they just turn the football leagues upside down and have Stockport County heading up the Premiership. With Chelsea, Arsenal and Manu all playing in the second division.

Fine all Premier clubs 1 million pound each and donate the procedede to the Working And Not Keeping Earnings Related charity. I happen to be the chairman and treasurer.

Just a couple of games now. The only cock up so far being the draw against Not a great start. 1 -1 against nine cocktails waiters and a chef played on a goats toliet.

It is possible that as low as sixth position can mean a return to Serie A. I don't know how but is was reported on an Italian web site. I guess they use a playoff sytem similar to that between ther Premiership and the Championship. Juve still have a chance of top spot though but it would require home and away wins against the current top two to do it realistically.

Reports are that the players that remaind faithfull are enjoying there season with less pressure and visiting new places. The goat shit has obviously become acceptable now and adds to the atmosphere.

Most opponents have learnt that is is wise to lock the goats away when the Juve supporters are due for a visit.

J U V E N T U S U P D A T E

I am sure that you would all like to hear the good news. Juve have now reached the lofty heights of 7th just four points behind the leaders with one game in hand on four of the teams above them.

Second place by the week end and 6 points clear at the top by Christmas should be easily attainable.
