Sorry to point it out, as I am aware of the cross Pennine rivalry, but Lancashire have Manu, Man City, Bolton, Liverpool, Everton, Wigan and Blackburn.
No they dont.
They have Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Preston North End, Blackpool, Accrington Stanley and Morecambe.
Have you heard of Merseyside and Greater Manchester?
Hull are doing ok so far, in with a shout for Europe and above Man U. Look at Spurs
As we can see from 'games played' theres a long long way to go yet.

There's a bit of history there going back to the 50s and 60s. Jimmy Greaves was set to move to Spurs but the Spurs management were too tight to pay the asking fee of one thousand two hundred and ninety pounds, nineteen shillings and eleven pence three farthings and would not except Greaves' demands for a salary of 5 pounds per week. Chelsea then hid Jimmy in Italy playing in disguise as an Italian (Vincenzo Greavo) for Inter.
When Spurs got wind of this the took out an injunction and got Jimmy returned.
The court settlement was for a free transfer and Chelsea to hand every League Cup tie to Spurs when they met for the next 100 years.
I think the current league positions will stay about the same except Chelsea, Manure and Liverpoo will move to the top and force the remainder down. The bottom 3. They are for sure in the Champions league next year. They've all been knocking on the door for the last four seasons.

Will be a great player for the mickeys, good money for us, although its the usual some now, the rest depending on appearances etc.
Does loads of work off the ball, out wide, picking the ball up in midfield etc. Spurs fans will be sad to see him go no matter what they say.
All we need now is Berbs to go the Man U and we can start the season without any top strikers and finish about 14th.

There speaks a true Spurs fan - battered into submission by 4 decades of support, all real hope gone (but a little spark still just flickering on inside - maybe, maybe, one day...).
SJ, I'm proud of you, old son - your post brought a tear to my cynical eye (yes, eye - I lost one as I was picking my nose when the famous Man U halfway line lob was disallowed...).
Its official.....Cristiano Ronaldo is staying at Manchester United for at least one more season and admits that a lot of the speculation over his future was down to him.
Very tight matches tonight so far. Good start for Arsenal, Bolton, Blackburn, Hull, Middlesborough and West Ham. Particularly the last four were a bit surprises to me, although Wonderlust and Buks might disagree.

Have you heard of Merseyside and Greater Manchester?
Have you heard of a pedant?
Do you know what the counties were before the introduction of the metropolitan counties in England?
Do you want a history and geography lesson about your country?
Do you realize you missed the point?
Seriously you have actually added a coupl that I'd forgotten about which actually strengthens the statement.
Why is it that Lancashire (old boundaries and new) have many more top level teams than all three Yorkshire counties (modern) plus Humberside and Teeside. (One a piece as far as I know).
