Nope,it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference where you're from or how far from the club you were born/live.
I think it matters that you are a fan from an early age and come what may, that allegiance never waivers.

The 'plastic' label for me is more directed at people that haven't really had any form of allegiance, then all of a sudden they're a 'whoever is successful' fan all of a sudden.

I'm not sure, as many here have pointed out that Arsenal haven't been successful for a decade or so.

In that case it's not easy to brand Arsenal fans as plastic.

I'm very sorry arcadian, when you called yourself a janner, I automatically assumed Plymouth would have been your local team. It is easy to forget the other pretenders in Devon. If your local side was Torquay, I don't blame you for choosing a team whose name started A R ..................... just a shame you chose the wrong one
