Did you ever notice that the large X on your IE toolbar does not stop a web page from loading from the BIG GUYS, such as Yahoo? Very annoying when your connection speed is slow, more than one tab open, and you don't need to see all the "fluff" before you see the "meat"!
However, on HHAD (thanks) if you smack the X, loading stops and you don't get all the emotiocons and other things, but you get the posts.
How do they do that Buksi, some special code to block one's X. Pete

so how do you get your free footy? as they don't stream to firefox??
I've never had a problem streaming anything with Firefox. You probably just need the media player plug in. Usually if it's not installed, Firefox will suggest you get it.
I’ve not really used many other browsers seeing as I get most of my internet access from work where I don’t have any choice but to use IE, but to be honest it does everything I need it to, what exactly do you get extra from these other browsers?
i have both installed on my laptop but i tend to use ie most of the time.
i really don't see any real advantages of using firefox for me personally & i'm a lot more comfortable & happier with ie7.
it's a bit like comparing which security programs to use, norton seems to get bad press on here but i wouldn't use anything else
guess it comes down to what you're comfortable with

Seriously Steve, you wouldnt now how absolutely, shockingly, appalingly bad IE is until you've changed from the worst browser out there.
Buksida,Randy etc will agree.
strictly a matter of opinion.
as i have said, i have used both but i do struggle to see what is so superior about mozilla?? & why exactly everyone is raving about firefox??
i am open to enlightenment

I’m not doubting anyone as I’ve never tried the options, but I’m just curious to what happens when you use one of these other browsers.
On IE I type in the address at the top and I get to the site I want, I use HHAD obviously and I manage to read the Bangkok Post e-edition and other news-sites, I use Yahoo for e-mail and Google to find out things I don’t know and that’s about it.
I have an older machine and the "FOX" runs faster on it, plus Firefox has many more possibilities of add-ons and extras since it's open source. I still have the occasional browser lockups but I'm pretty sure I had more with IE.
It's the FOX for me until something better comes along. Haven't tried Google's new one yet.
