Yellow Book
Yellow Book
Has anyone recently got a yellow book in Hua Hin. If so, what documentation is currently needed?
I have a yellow house book but I obtained it many years ago.
I suggest you have a meeting with your lawyer / law office to sort everything out.
I fixed everything here in Hua Hin but I have been informed by other house owners that you now have to get it done in Bangkok.
(Don't know if this is true or not but that's what they said).

I intend to live forever - so far so good.
You can use the online yellow pages.
They have the menu in English also, and if you want anything specific to Hua Hin, do so in the search box with the province (Prachuab Khiri Khan) and district (Hua Hin) filled in appropriately.

Let me put this to bed the yellow book has absolutely nothing to do with ownership
I have a yellow book and i own nothing
A landlord can get a yellow book for you but will be reluctant as it will mean paying tax on the rent or he will increase your rent for the priveledge
I have been on a yellow book living in a tin shack which wasnt OWNED by anybody (well the railway owned the land)

The reason for my asking is the numerous posts that state immigration now requires you to be on a yellow book/blue book/rental agreement for renewing visa extensions.
I own (sorry, paid for - the wife owns it) my own house and wondered if it was necessary for me to apply for a yellow book. Can this be done in HH and what is required?

What Immigration told me just yesterday is: they require a COPY of the house registration book (Tabien Baan), that belongs to the house where you live. They do not require your name to be on it, they are just using it as additional proof of your address.HHTel wrote:The reason for my asking is the numerous posts that state immigration now requires you to be on a yellow book/blue book/rental agreement for renewing visa extensions.

That's right except that you don't even have to go... I just sent my good lady with our documents and she got the yellow book for me! I find it best to let her do the two things she is best at (dealing with Thai bureaucracy and shopping) and I just stay out of the way.Yes just go to the tessabahan with your good lady and your passport thats all i did.

HH i actually went i might just as well have not bothered it was probably one of the most boring lonely hours of my life i wasnt spoken to or sign anything Mrs Sarge did it all.
I do wonder sometimes why people dont but i have always found just go and ask politely and they are always helpful to be the best way
