Mrs Sarge well & Truly busted

Post by sargeant »

:D :lach: This morning having chomped my way through my soft fried egg and home made bread and butter my home made fried sausage my fried kidney and my home made bacon and fresh fried tomato
I noticed Mrs Sarge had been a tad reticent with my cup of Typhoo tea
So being a gentleman  and blaming my alzhiemers for not noticing this glaring ommission i toodled off to the kitchen
And what do I find   :lach: :lach: Mrs Sarge sitting on the floor tucking in to you guessed it a good old fashioned english breakfast with all the trimmings   :naughty:
An interogation :sfight: was immediately embarked upon and after a suitable ammount of waterboarding it was finally divulged :D Mrs Sarge has been a secret closet breakie eating farang for a fair long time.
See Richard my breakies are brill

Question is why was it a secret for so long :? :?

Had you not noticed Mrs Sarge getting a little rotund of late. This is usually a by product of the full English.
I normally find that Thais find our breakfasts a bit tasteless and not pant rippingly hot enough for their taste...
Mabey you look like your enjoying it a bit too much and curiosity got the better of her...
Either way the full English will cost you a lot more than a plate of noodles... :?

Yes, he has. This is where the "well & Truly busted" part refers to in the OP.
"There's no plausible or convincing reason, certainly no evidential one, to believe that there is such an entity (= deity) and that all observable phenomena, including the cosmological ones... are explicable without the hypothesis; you don't need the assumption."

Understand completely !!
'Er indoors say western food is bland - yet merrily tucks into meat ' tater pie, fish n chips, bacon n egg she is reluctant to admit it though
I know about the "I sink if you put dis an dat make better ". Back in UK some friends in the village had some animals butchered up and brought me some fresh lamb chops. Getting home from work 'er indoors announced proudly that she had done the lamb chops for me - - what she meant was that she had marinated them in chilli paste. another lamb very nearly went to the slaughter that day

Interesting thread Sarge.

Since first meeting Mrs.T in '92 she has stalwartly kept to her Thai delicacies such as Som Tam, Laab and the odd plate or two of bugs always accompanied by three tons of jungle 'veggies.'

However, over the years she has developed a strong liking for Roast Spuds, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Full Sunday Roasts - oh and Red Wine or Champers when I can afford it.

Both of us have become far more rotund than when we first met - her excuse - two kids - mine ???????

As for KFC - whatever happened to 'It's Fingerlicking Good'

Life goes on

Thanks Sarge for the posting, fun and interesting.

My wife has been in the states many years (around 14) but still needs Thai food almost every day.

We went to the mid west and east coast to visit some of my old friends and family, some areas with no Thai food for days.

She was great about it, but I could tell how much she missed the food.

Spent one afternoon in Michigan going to 3 different markets to find unripe mangoes. We found them, and she made her own chili concoction from local ingredients, so was satisfied for a while.

I could, and often do, eat Thai food for days, but would miss the occasional large bloody steak.
