Very good DM, quality, still waiting for you to 'get off the fence' and 'lay it down', we know you're capable.

Just waiting in anticipation, or are you just teasing us all.

 All the best, sharp as always.

Well, as I had nothing better to do, I decided to investigate your background (knowing that your real surname is Killigrew)...

Lady Mary Killigrew 1530-1570, English, Mary was the daughter of a former Suffolk pirate. Mary's husband Sir Henry Killigrew, a former pirate himself, was made a Vice-Admiral by Queen Elizabeth I and tasked with suppressing piracy. Whenever her husband went to sea Mary engaged in piracy using the staff of her castle (Arwenack Castle in Cornwall) as crew and possibly with the Queen's knowledge. In 1570 she captured a German merchant ship off Falmouth and her crew sailed it to Ireland to sell, however the owner of this ship was a friend of Queen Elizabeth who then had Lady Mary arrested and brought to trial at the Launceston assizes. Some sources say she was sentenced to death and then pardoned by the Queen, but this is due to confusion with another family member. Her family bribed the jurors and she was acquitted. Whatever transpired, she gave up pirating and took up fencing stolen goods until she died several years later.
Interesting, VS, but not as colourful as this...
Anne Bonny born Anne Cormac, aliases Ann Bonn and Ann Fulford, possibly also Sarah Bonny 1698-1782 1719-1720 Irish Caribbean pirate. Anne and her parents emigrated to Charleston, South Carolina shortly after her birth. Married to pirate James bonny, Anne had an affair with pirate John "Calico Jack" Rackham and later dressed as a man to join his crew. Anne later accidentally discovered another crew member Mark Read was also secretly a woman and the two became very close. Rackham demanded to know why they were so close and Read revealed her identity. Rackham allowed her to stay and revealed the women's gender to the crew. From then on they both dressed as men to fight but dressed as women at other times. Both were imprisoned in 1720 and it is believed Anne's wealthy father arranged her release. Anne married and settled down in Charleston, dying in 1782.

While we are on the 'pirate' ship, came across an interesting fact about them, which is,

The most successful pirate of all was a guy called 'Black Bart Roberts', who took a record 400+ ships before being killed off the east coast of Africa by The Royal Navy.

Black Beard only took about 25 ships.
