My favorite places to eat The family resturant in the village near the regant hotel. The owner is a great guy and will cook any thing you ask for and is very good value. Naresdarmi in hua hin has a good menu and very good food

My favourite place to eat used to be the Kebab shop in Raynes Park on the way home from Wimbledon, brilliant mixed Kebab with loads of lemon juice!!!!!! One of the few things I miss here, along with !!!!!!!!BRR

mwahhhh....double king size lamb shish, extra chilli sauce, and two of those glow in the dark yellow pickled jalapeños on top......mwahhhhh.....

my bab shop of heaven was the one near Turnpike Lane tube down from the Toll Gate pub.....

here my fave is Lab Mu and rice....good hot or cold with a beer.

The Small Faces, I remember my Parents talking about them, along with other names, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, The Stones to name just some who used to live and play in small venues around West London and Middlesex!!!!

Turnpike Lane had a big old Weatherspoons on it called the Toll Gate that served cheep beer to the lost and the damned and let you smoke in there when I drank there in the early 90s. The bab shop was down the road towards the tube next to the Burger King and the travellers explorer shop.....the lads in there wore mad Turkish waistcoats and the boss wore a fez....best damn lamb shish I ever had.

The Toll Gate had been there since Turpin did his run, and was full of an eclectic mix of families, students and full time drunkards getting messed up on the "drunk for a fiver" promotion beers. Then it got all family orientated.....ah well. As I always say....I dont drink beer in playgrounds so why the hell are kids allowed in pubs?

I used to drink mostly in the bikers pub further down Wood Green road...The Queens Head....before the sods turned it into a sports bar (cum Fight Club style boxing ring / shooting gallery on a weekend). That or the Silver Lady and Blackboy pubs on Blackboy Lane....which Im sure Harringey council's PC brigade has now renamed to something like Bernie Grant Boulevard.

Top Marks Tony used to drink in the Blackboy and Lady too....

My second fiancee lived in a towerblock in turnpike lane. Her mum was the jellied eel champion of the east end

UK: 'Chick-King', Tottenham High Road outside the 'Theatre of Nightmares'.

Hua Hin: 'Porkys' (hot roast pork & beef rolls with roast tatties), spot on. New stand outside the new bar complex where old Road Hole used to be.

Up West: 'Nana Burger' greasy cheese & bacon burger, finest take-away Nana has on offer

Got to agree on the Nana burger .Have not tried Porkys' yet .No doubt I will and will give my opinion of his cooking .Hope its better than his singing

a bunch of the lasses wen to Porkys last night and couldn't eat the food....so I got the lot

Its hot pig in a bun wiv gravy heaven.....great after beer food.

highly recommended as a BintaBurger alternative....

a couple of em had apple sauce on......didnt get any samples of the roast tattys tho....good gravy too.

mate it really is hot pig heaven....reminded me of the Hog Roast stalls at UK bike festivals.....

Hi Carol, I used to love going to Lek Lek's along the railway road or top of the road that leads to San Paolo and the market depending which way you go. Its the a corner.
Its a basic Thai eatery but the price and more importantly the food very good. Every night its full of Thais which is a good sign in my book...
