Land title upgrades

Post by crazy88 »

Several months ago we gave copies of My Girlfriends land titles to the land office to upgrade the existing nsg3 titles to chanote after an announcement by the local PYB that it could be done in our area at this time .There must have been a pile of over a thousand land titles on the table when she handed hers in .Many in company status with Thai/foreign ownership .We checked as a number of friends were not in the country and my partner handled it for them .

Today we received the chanotes .I had heard speculation that money would be involved .These rumours were from farangs only .She paid 110 baht per plot admin fee only for the whole process .Some plots have been built on,some have not .Size seemed irrelevant although all were under 2 rai in these cases .

The land office were slow but helpful and I thought I would post this as there are many people who will be undergoing this process now and in the future .

Hi Crazy,
Our house in Kap Choeng, the land was surveyed over two years ago and we and everyone else in the area are still waiting for our chanotes i know offical Thai wheels turn very slowly but how slowly, they have surveyed all the local farmland first and that seems to be more of a priority as they are starting to hand out the papers.

Kendo

Same with us but quicker .It sped up as more houses and businesses were being built .The survey was over a year ago followed by them dumping the chanote markers then coming back a couple of months later to install them .I would not want their job .How on earth are you going to contact all these people who own land unless they live on it ? Chase your local PYB up with a bottle of JW black might help .

Still working on the other thing BTW
