Well we’re not that busy due to present climate, so to start with, this Sunday 21st Dec we're having Sunday roast at the Buffalo Tavern 150 Baht to see if we can get some bums on seats.

Wrong thread.(buffalo) Bill wrote:Buksi, if you want a good curry go to a restaurant.

Usually I'd go to an Indian for an Indian, not a pub ... but I'm open to suggestions, and I like my Vindaloo hellfire hot!

Triple the onions and cook to a puree with a splash of vinegar, water and or beer for at least 30 mins .Soak triple the amount of dried Thai chilli and remove skins .Blend chilli pulp with fresh chilli and ginger .Put on raw meat overnight .Then remove meat from marinade and proceed as per the recipe .Leave overnight or freeze for later use before serving at the end of a drunken friday night .Best with chicken but works with lamb chops .

Yeah, I remember those Phalls from the student days, a good vinda needs a nice blend of cumin seeds, black mustard seeds, cinnamon, cardamom pods, black pepper, fresh and dried chili, turmeric, coriander seeds, salt, sugar, onions (pre-cooked) and vinegar ... and that's just the paste! We've evolved from the 'scoop it out of a Sharwood's jar and slap it in' variety.

Bill, I like your new avatar, but isn't that the wrong kind of Buffalo for Thailand? I searched the web for an animated water buffalo photo for you but didn't find one. I did find a cool one that you could use as a logo for your place though...

To be honest going into to town to eat is no longer viable when it takes you almost an hour to get there and find a parking spot and your kids end up annoying the other diners and wrecking whatever restaurant you have decided on!
Vindaloo delivery sounds grand though.
