I think you'll need to find a joiners to build something for you, I very much doubt you'll find something ready built.

Hope someone can give you more help.

Here is some info.........http://www.woodzone.com/plans/doghouse/ ... _plans.htm

If you don't like this plan google dog house plans free

Wikapedia also has info on mistakes made when building a dog house.

Lucky dog.......in this heat it might be nice to give him/her a veranda, covered of course, to catch the breeze.

Build your own?

Post by Chas »

I built my own in about a day. . .the dog was due to have puppies and she needed it asap.

Why not build your own? It is just a box with a roof after all and I dont know why you would need plans . . .unless you are going to do the thing up with several rooms, bath, veranda, etc.

A simple one room doghouse just takes a few sheets of plywood, some 2x4's and a few nails.

The one I built has a peaked roof and matches our house. Our dog(Basset Hound) is not as big as a retriever though .

In pet shops they also sell those mesh cages, that stand a bit off the ground, for large dogs - may be a good idea so that you have somewhere to house the dog when you are out, so he can't escape. Could also act as a kennel as wooden boxes are good breeding grounds for mozzies and get hot and airless too.
No need to keep the snow and frost off him in Hua Hin!

It can rain like hell though! I've got one Thai dog that hates rain/water and one who loves it...
