Here is a heads up to anyone travelling north out of Hua hin.
There is MAJOR work underway before and after the tunnel and even this morning a huge traffic buildup at the tunnel.
They are repaving and they started yesterday by doing ALL the u turns up to VIP . . .thats three in a row, so you are halfway to Cha-am before you can U turn.
They are repainting the tunnel and replanting the median with fancy potted bougainvilleas. (Your local Potemkin Village crew hard at work!)
Obviously this is a spruceup for the ASEAN affair, but I wont even comment on the brilliance of the decision to begin this work on a holiday weekend!
