Went to Buff Bills last night and believe it or not had a Sunday roast. When I questioned it with Bill and Lorraine they said they were offering it every day now
Very good it was too
Bill asked me to also post on there behalf that if you mention the magic word 'HHAD' after 7pm on any evening and Bill and Lorraine are there you will get a 10% discount

Cold and expensive and fraught with red tape and security
Only 3 weeks to go
Fish chips and mushies washed down with a bottle of wine - 63 quid. Mind you I was in yuppie land at the time. F/C were crap

You was robbed, or you are mixing in the wrong circles. I don't know anywhere in the UK where I could pay that much for Fish chips, mushies and a bottle of wine ............... unless you paid £50+ for the bottle of wine
Wandsworth and it didn't look flash. Think the wine was the killer

Wandsworth! I grew up in the London Borough of and went to school there. The town itself has always been a dump to me. But I know it's been 'gentrified' - hence the silly prices, I guess?
I have eaten unbelievably good beer battered fish in a few places around, usually pubs noted for good grub, but never even close to the price you paid.
I worked in Kensington a couple years ago, Had the keys to a place that could buy about 5 houses this way, Down the road was a very reasonable pub serving food.
I'd have thought it would be expensive due to lacation but any pub meal for around a tenner with 2 pints is briliant value.
Don't know but I'll be walking past on Thursday night so will repost then. Remember the fish alone was 9 quid a shot so God knows what the mushies and chips were. They were served seperately in big bowls. Think the wine was the killer. My tight fisted brother ordered it knowing I was paying. Not to worry. He's paying on Thursday night so will get my own back

Seeing as this post has changed from Sunday roast on a Saturday to Richard paying a lot of money in London for Fish, Chips & Mushy peas with a bottle of wine, I can tell everybody that you can get very good Fish & Chips (home cut) with Mushy Peas, Pickled Gherkin, Pickled Onion Tartar sauce and a bottle of very good Chilean wine all for the grand price of 950 Thai Baht at The Buffalo Tavern.
Ps, my money is in Thai Baht as I live here I don’t have to equate it into British Pounds.
Pps. Don’t forget the 10% discount for HHAD.
