Fantastic food and entertainment

Post by Gbella »

Just want to thank Bill, his wife and staff for a fantastic quiz evening last night. It was so much fun, and the tapas food was fantastic, can't wait for the next one, hope I'm still here.

Just one little thing could have spoiled the night though, and that was the grumpy man who had been put on our team. He moaned at mostly everything and then even questioned the 200 baht bill! I honestly couldn't believe it. The food was lovely and we were all full, how they can put all this on, with entertainment for such a small amount beats me - AND i'm a student.

Definitely recommended if you weren't there last night. Thanks so much.

Hi Gbella, it was good to meet you and your friends last night. It would be good to see you at our next quiz and chinese night. Thanks for your message and for letting everyone know.

Sorry for the moaning old fart - you always get one.

Great night had by all (except grumpy!)
Lovely food, plenty of beers and the Sangria was potent!
Thanks to Bill, Lorraine and all the staff who made it a very successful night!

We didn't take part in the quiz - we (myself and the missus) went just for the food (and drink)

We thoroughly enjoyed it again and will be back for the next one - thanks a lot to Bill and Lorraine - fantastic food yet again.

Pity you always get one gobshite that will try to dodge his bill and even try to get the staff into trouble over it!!

I would also like to add my thanks to Bill, Lorraine, their staff, and the quizmaster (Chris?) for a very enjoyable evening. My wife and son also thoroughly enjoyed it, even although we were a little bit handicapped with only three in our team, and one of them was ME!

However as our team name suggested, "We're only here for the food!" winning the quiz was not our priority.

On the subject of the food, a very special, "WELL DONE" to the Chef, it was absolutely delicious :D

Finally, I would like to make it very clear that I may be a moaning old fart, but last night it certainly wasn't me :D :thumb:

Quiz night

Post by brianks »

This American farang really enjoyed your British institution of Quiz Night. Food was GREAT and plentyfull. Like the way it was served to our tables this time rather than taking a break to go stand in line. Quizmaster Chris is now in Bangledesh for a short while and I am sure another one is planned on his return.

Suggestion: Quizmaster needs a sound system without feedback so he doesn't have to repeat the question so many times in the din. Too many people having a good time.

This really sounds like fun but I've never been to one. :(

Is there a book of rules/guidelines posted somewhere on the net?

I'd like to take a look and perhaps try to get something going in my little hamlet in Rayong here. Pete
