Newbie coming to town
Well, I've finally booked the air tickets and March '10 is a long way off but my first visit to Hua Hin is gonna happen. From reading past posts it seems that Bernies Bar, Sabai Bar and Johnny Walkers are the places to catch up when looking for a golf partner. I look forward to meeting some of the local tragics and getting some assistance with course selection etc. Not sure about the etc part.

When booking a tee time at any of the local courses ask if you can join with another group which has less than 4 players, that way you will soon make friends with fellow golfers whether they are holliday makers ,locals or expats. I have met many people this way and now I am never stuck for a playing partner. As for course selection start of with the best and play Black Mountain.

Thanks, Poe , Jam & Tony, Yes, I am feeling comfortable that this trip is going to be a good one. Black Mt? Expensive but I will be having a go at one or two of those fantastic courses. Perhaps I'll need to warm up on the others first. Another bar added to my list, Angel Eye. I have trouble with the on -course traps let alone those in town. Only 8 months to go, sigh.
