I went all of the way through, then backed away quickly when they started asking for a lot of personal information - not for me.

I took one of those things a few years ago... scored in the high 130s and was congratulated by the site saying that the average was around 100.

But, that was before I retired and spent five years here with my brain turning to mush... :D Now I have a hard time remembering who I am!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

That's what it asked for at the beginning.

When I'd finished the test, it requested my e-mail address so they could send my results, which I gave. The following screen requested a lot of personal information, at which point I backed away.

Maybe they were amazed at my high score, and just wanted to get to know me better :D

In that case, I'm pleased that I back away when I did.

Did anybody else get asked for personal information?

I must disappoint all members who think they got a reliable IQ with this test. It is far too easy compared to a Mensa Test, which will give a much more precise value.

Funny story. My sister is a psychologist and in fact is now a PhD in same for many years.

When she was a freshman in college I was only 8 and as a course project she gave me an IQ test.

When it was over she looked at the results, looked at me and yelled up to the kitchen, "Mom your youngest son is an idiot!".

I've never taken an IQ test again since, still traumatized  :D Pete

Here are two Mensa pre-tests, which give no IQ-numbers, only a hint if you could apply to mensa. All the solutions are given at the end, so you can cheat if you make the test several times.

But isn't Mensa membership reserved for the truly gifted... with IQs in the 98th percentile or top two percent in intelligence? I don't think any... well, not many, of us would think we qualified for that (but I could be wrong, there are some big egos here!). :D

DM,

If you're suggesting that the top 2% in Hua Hin or anywhere else in particular would qualify, I think it means the top 2% in the world or at least in each country.

I was suggesting that the top 2% in intelligence would probably find (or be able to afford) a better place to live than Thailand... :D

Are you suggesting that all the expats here are of lower intengence.
There are different levels of intelligence everywhere and there is no reason why there is not 2% here.
People can decide to live in different countries for a number of reasons and none of them are affeffected by the level of intelligence.
Coyld be climate, cost of living, culture, the people, a dislike of what is happening in there own country, most of us probably fall into the last category.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Is there a better place than Thailand? High IQ means not high salary, because for management tasks you need other qualities. Also many of these specialists have lower social competence. They even don't understand the woman's logic
