White Sand

The White Sand is located about 5 - 10 mins (80 - 100Baht by taxi) North of Hua Hin. It is owned by a nice Scottish chap, Richard McKenzie. Richard has a Thai wife and the staff are Thai. I have not stayed there, so cannot comment on guest-friendliness. They do seem to have a very cosmopolitan clientele, most of whom seem to get to know about the place by recommendation. Last March / April I would estimate that most of their guests were aged 35+ (perhaps older).
It is just (200m) South of the Anantara, directly on the beach. Food is good and reasonably priced (we used to go there from the Anantara for a drink fairly frequently and had a couple of meals there). The link below should help and has rates.
