There's a seafood-fest in Market Village Central Court on 16th - 19th. Many, many booths making and selling
various types of seafood. I am very particular to New England Clamchowder and had a very, very good NEC
at Hilton booth (90 baht). Another one I thoroughly enjoyed was Prawns in XO sauce (4 mid-size prawns 60 baht).
This was the best XO sauce so far in Thailand.
If you go (you should), go early as seating is scarce. If there's no seat, grab the goodies to go. You'll enjoy it!

clam fest
Scarcely an orgy, but we ate there tonight ( Saturday) and the food was terrific! Ate at the Sofitel booth . .wonderful clam chowder and a pasta with a clam sauce. I am not a fan of seafood . .but this was the best I have had in recent memory. The Tom Yam talay from another booth was also pronounced excellent. . .and the couple of Singhas made it an enjoyable night out.
On for one more night I believe . .and worth the trip in. Even the band was rather good . .Thai reggae with a jazz twist . .but get a table as far as you can from the bandstand unless you like having to shout at your eating companions . ..they are uncomfortably LOUD! (No surprise there)
