Hairdresser...

Post by Frost »

May sound funny, but i am looking for a good (european standart) cutting hairdresser.

I have my regular hairdresser in bkk because i am in bkk many times a month.

I´ve been sick, so couldnt travel the last 3 weeks, looking like a lady now, so looooong hair.

Made bad experiences here in HH, found only hairdresser who can cut "pot" thai style hairstyles.

So any idea where i can find a really good hairdresser?

I use Chic hairdressers on Chomsin Road, in the section between Nabkehart and Phetkasem. I have never had a bad experience there, professional service.
Hope this helps.

I use chic as well but I go to their other branch on the main almost opposite Soi 80 again I have never had a bad experience. Glad I still have a need for a hairdresser.

Chomsin is the road that intersects Phetkasem at the northernmost of the two main traffic lights.

I have been there twice and was pleased with the hair cut the first time, my hair was then cut by a guy (well, sort of a guy). The second time a woman cut my hair and she was not nearly as good as the guy. Next time I will try Chic's other saloon.

Hi stgrhe, my experience was exactly the other way round to yours, which is why I went to the branch on the main road, just goes to show good days and bad days. Mind you it always seems like sod's law when you recommend anywhere and you meet the person later and they say "thanks a lot" ( not )

Right, I will give the main road a second go then but I won't let anyone in that saloon who sits down peeing cut my hair.

From your earlier description, it sounds like they may both sit down to pee... :D

There is a very smart looking lady who works there, in her 30's I would guess and without doubt the best hair cut I have had here, she more than likely sits down to pee though, mind you on occasions when a bit p****d I have been known to sit as well !

I have been to many hairdressers in Hua Hin and to be honest I haven't had a bad cut yet.

Then again I have all the style and panache of a crippled slug...!

I think that is the one I referred to and who cut my hair. Maybe she had a bad day but she did not cut well at all and I had to ask her more than once to correct the uneven cut. In the end I left, no tip though, without being content with the cut. This lady looks better than she cuts hair IMO.
