sunday roast

Post by K2OWN »

Just had the best Sunday Roast Beef Dinner (Other than my own) at a place on Soi 80 called Dicks Office. Six Slices of Tender Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Roast Potatoes,Cabbage,Sweet Corn, Carotts,Big Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy. So much on the plate that my other half eat the rest of mine .
Only 250 Baht and well worth it. I have tried other places in town and this one is to me the best. Give it a go and I know you will enjoy it. Also they have New Zealand Lamb for 280 Baht. Will Be Back :D

I'll second that. Food is always good there, and inexpensive too.

DO roast is very gooda lthough I haven't been since my mum moved here for obvious reasons :D

Tried the lunch buffet at the europe butchers in soi 102 yesterday .190 baht all you can eat .Roast pork IMO the best in town apart from no crackling :cuss: parma ham at 40bt 100g compared to the 160bt I am used to paying as well as a good selection of swiss/german meat products at the same kind of prices .

Not 100% certain but I believe it's the one on soi 102 (Country Hill 1). Drive down soi 102 until you get to Kom Hom a nice restaurant on the left side about 1 km, 50 yards past this on the left (1st left after Kom Hom) starts country hill 1 there is a butcher about 100 yards straight on the right, it's one of the houses with a sign outside.

That's the key bit dude! If that's present then we're rockin, all else is easy to sort. If they've got yorkies then they've gone the extra bit and know the deal.

 to those that provide yorkies. :thumb:

The Swiss butcher delivers really fine product. He smokes bacon himself. A process of 96 hours of continuous smoke.

Here's where:

I think this is the place (with the red gate post) you are all looking for.

Farangs map is almost spot on and a trip to this smokery shop will be well worth it.

The lady in question has been smoking meats since 2002 and the business has grown over the years. Good products and value for money.

This pic was taken in 2007, so front may have changed a bit.

I was there the other day and bought smoked ham and sausages. With farang's map memorised it was a piece of cake to find the house.

I haven't tasted the ham yet but the sausages were really tasty. I think they were called 'Hong Kong' sausages and came in a pack of three. They were really in the same class as the best sausages I have tasted from Germany and Hungary.

The price for the smoked ham is 300 baht per kilo and the sausages 210 baht per kilo.

Bon apetit!

Thanks stgrhe.

But your 3 sausages were how much? In baht, not kilo.
