Hi!
Is there a wholesale in HH? Someone suggested to go shopping to a wholesale instead of Tesco, because it's much cheaper. Where can I find this wholesale?
Wholesale in Hua Hin?
They must have been talking about Makro. It's not in Hua Hin, it's in Pranburi 20 or so minutes south of Hua Hin. Most of the restaurant owners I know shop there for supplies...Is there a wholesale in HH? Someone suggested to go shopping to a wholesale instead of Tesco, because it's much cheaper. My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

We go shopping at Makro here in Nakhon Pathom, not because it's cheaper than Tescos, but because it's closer to our house. Unfortunately, it's not as well stocked with farang stuff as the one in Pranburi.
I've found that unless you're buying things in really big quantities, the prices are pretty much the same. Apart from their special offers. Far fewer kids and grannies though, which makes it a less stressful shopping trip

We only stop there when we are in Pranburi for some other reason. I wouldn't want it to be the only supermarket as it takes me a long time to go through a 20 cm diameter can of olives or re-fried beans.

I'm the same as you HH; when I'm in Hua Hin I use Makro at Pranburi whenever I'm driving back from the beaches further South.
It has a good range of produce and is much quicker to get parked and shopped than Tesco in Market Village.
I hate shopping and the quicker you can get the experience over with the better in my opinion.

Wholesale in HuaHin?
I don't think the concept of 'wholesale' really applies in Thailand at all. For day to day grocery shopping go where you feel more comfortable, and where you can find the things you want.
I would never stock up too much there anyway on account of the climate, and uncertainty of electricity supplies (for freezers and fridges.) The climate and way of life combine to make daily fresh market shopping much more sensible if you can do it.
Canned and packaged foods in bulk are fine for convenience and transport considerations. But if the likes of Tesco in HH are pulling the same stunts as they are in the UK you need to carefully do your maths before buying what appear to be the good deals. Many retailers now are advertising bulk buy savings which aren't savings at all when worked out per 100 gram.
