'My Bar'

Dear All,

I was in Hua Hin about twelve months ago and ended up getting drunk and having a great time at a bar called 'My Bar' (can't remember the exact location, but it was one of the small sois opposite the Hilton). I am hoping to get down to HH next week after a long stint in Bangkok and want to know if that bar is still open.

Grateful for any info

Welcome to the Forum Bayon. I've had a look on the Hua Hin Bar Map http://www.huahinafterdark.com/map.htm, and can't see it. Don't give up yet though - it may be an omission. I'm sure somebody will soon tell you if it's still there.

Cheers mate,

I also checked out the map and couldn't spot it. Sorry I can't give a more specific idea of location. It was close to the road the Hilton is on. Definitely one of the smaller bars, but it was pretty lively inside. I recall it had a yellow sign with black writing 'My Bar', but my memory cannot be trusted on this aspect

I think but i'm not completely sure 'my bar' was a bar ran by a lady named Yok on selakam.If that is the bar then it is still there but now its called papayita and run by a really good french guy called Roland.
Please correct me if i'm wrong!!!!

If that's the bar,Roland is really a good guy and has quite a lot of regulars and a 4 hour 'happy hour 'every day.Just up from Jings guest house(if that rings a few brain cells!!Will try to get down there end of this month myself when next in Bangkok!

I have seen her around a few times with her husband, but i don't think they took another bar on.

someone mentioned to me the other month that "my way" was only open for a month or two before being sold and re-opening at Papayita. what was there before ? was it a massage type place ?

was in there on saturday. pool table a bit red, but beer cold and cheap, and the staff friendly.
