DO MOSQUITO MISTING SYSTEMS ELIMINATE MOSQUITOS

Post by TomG »

I am fed up of being bite by Mosquitoes when I go outside to have my morning coffee and beer in the evening.

I have been told about a company that sells a, what they call, "Mosquito Misting System", here in Thailand.

They claim they can kill 99% of crawling and 50 to 80% of flying bugs such as mosquitoes.

Does anybody have a system and does it achieve this?

The company I am looking at is cimicoasia.

Are there any other companies that supply such systems?

Welcome to the forum. Not sure about the system you mention but there are alternatives,

-Use a fan (mosquitoes can't fly through the turbulence).
-Eat lots of garlic or take a pill of garlic oil everyday (makes you smell unattractive to mosquitoes).
-Those green mosquitoes coils tend to work and are cheap to buy.
-Wear more clothes, shorts and a vest is like ringing the dinner bell.

A lot of the claims by manufacturers on these sort of things can often be inflated.

I use the cheap mosquito coils and find them to be quite effective.
I've got a sort of perforated tin holder that makes them easier to use, they sell them in local markets.
You can also get scented coils from Baygon if you don't like the smell.

If you're in a semi enclosed area, or even an open area with no wind, don't forget the Japanese ARS MAT12 system. Small electric holder and blue colored insecticide wafer. I've always found them to work very well and odor is minimal. Pete

I have a cimico misting system and it is feaking great.

All cockroaches, ants and centapeds are gone from my house and yard.

Mossies are down way more than 50%.

It works so good I got rid of my pest control contract.

If I were you I would buy it... but a word of caution..do not buy a cheap version do a full perimeter system. It will cost you a little more up front and the insecticide refills will be a bit more frequent but you can get rid of your pest control man so it will save you money in the long run.
