Neoprene in Hua Hin ?

Post by Super Joe »

Bit of a long shot this one I suspect, but has anyone seen industrial type Neoprene sheets/pads for sale in the area ?

Not the thin fabric stuff they use for wet suits and the like but more the thicker harder type like pic below:

I doubt that you will get it in Hua Hin. RS Compontents in Bangkok have an on line service, and stock of what you want.

A while back I was even unable to find rubber mats to put underneath my exercise machines to protect the wood floor. I'm sure they are somewhere in Bangkok but I went to several shops that sold the equipment and nobody knew where I could get them. Seems strange as rubber is one of the items farmed all over Issan.

Anyway I ended up ordering two mats from the U.S. and the shipping and duty I paid was four times the cost of the mats themselves!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

"bit of a long shot"

"thicker harder type"

I'm sure one of the "ladies" in blue angel will have an old sealskin catsuit you can use.

I needed heavy rubber mats that were designed to go under exercise equipment (2mt x 1mt). I needed two and got them on the internet at two for $25 from a U.S. website. After shipping and customs I paid around $125 for them.

The heavy duty stuff is used on conveyor belts etc. if such a supplier exists in Bangkok ??
RS Components are good for sometimes hard to find items.

The rubber car mats are useful underneath appliances to stop them slipping or marking worktops.
