Expat death in HH

Post by terry+carmen »

A friend has asked me what to do following the death of an elderly expat in hospital here in HH.

Apart from the normal Death Certificates and Registration with the Embassy what else should she do?

Anyone had any contact with HH Temple for cremation. I remember an excellent article some time ago in the Observer I think I used it to line the cats litter tray! Bugger!

I can't help you with the procedures I'm afraid - but others certainly can - JD and Buksi will hopefully pm you. But are you able to provide the chaps name please?
I'm assuming from 'expat' he might have been a long term resident, and some of us might have known him.

Death in Hua Hin

Dear Margaret, Thank you for your concern, the person in question is a lady but as I understand not a full time resident.

I have been able to find a back copy of the article written in the Observer (August 2008 Issue 152) that has been a great help.

I will put more information on HHAD once the next of kin have been informed and subject to their wishes.

Hi, You can always go to the Wat Hua hin and ask for a monk called Gan, He can then speak to the new Abbott.

Just mention, myself steve and partner Ja, They will know who you are talking about.
