The 4th season of Hua Hin Darts League will commence today. There are eight teams in the league and most of them would be happy to have new plyaers. So if you're a keen darter contact one of them
Road Hole
Bamboo Road
Exalon
Johnnie Walkers
Jungle Juice
Jaew's Bar
Billy's Bar
Funny Girl
Most of Round 1's matches will be played on another day as many players are golfing in Kanjanaburi. Today there will be at least one match, however
Johnnie Walkers vs Bamboo Road at Johnnie Walkers starting at 19.30.

It seems as if the same problems are arising as last season, i understood that if a bar does not have a team then they forfeit the match points.
If people want to play golf good luck to them, but then why commit to a darts team if you cant make the fixtures.
This new season came out of the blue ie phone call first match Tuesday. and yet only one match being played.
Great start to the season.
Mike.

I understand what you are saying but I have always thought that the competition is secondary to having a fun night out. Of course you have to have rules but there has to be some flexibility as people do have a life outside of the darts or pool leagues! Even if you do take the competition 'seriously' then surely you want to be playing against the strongest team possible to make the contest meaningful? Either way you look at it, if a bar cannot get a team together then there should be the facility and friendliness to be able to rearrange the fixture. As far as the competition getting off to a bad start I think that is being a little unfair - the people who organise it may have been a little late in informing everyone but then again there may be other circumstances dictating this, such as bar owners being away. Thanks to Bamboo Grove and the others for putting it together.

Actually two matches were played yesterday. Billy's Bar drew with Jaew's Bar and Johnnie Walkers beat Bamboo Road. And yes, rearranging some fixtures is not really a big deal as the main thing should be and is to have fun and socialize with others.

Good replies from both,
But i would agree we all have lives outside the dart or pool league.
But we also have lives outside of Golf, so if you cant fulfill your commitment why sign up for a competition in the first place.
I was due to go to Bangkok on Buisness but put it off so i could play for my local bar, only to be told that the team had no players on this night.
So if we all follow this criteria then how are we going to have a dart league.
I appoligise for getting the fixtures wrong, as it seems two of the four matches went ahead on the first day of the new league.
Now today we are informed that the match cant be played tonight as they still do not have a team.
I enjoy a good night out playing darts but also like many on several occasions i would prefer a night in, but if i have signed up to play in something then i will make the effort to turn up.
How long this lasts remains to be seen, but i wish the teams the best of luck.
Ps, I am not aware of any of the bar owners being away who are responsable for organising this league.

You have a good point there, Mike. One should naturally be responsible for being there if possible. Also the venue owners should see that their teams have also some stand-by players in case the need arises. By limiting the number of the teams we will try to make sure less and less of the matches would be postponed.
However, all the venue owners or their representatives were at the meeting in early April so they had plenty of time to put their teams together and inform the players of the coming matches.

I'm sure every team would like to have a jolly laddie playing for them.
