Water Pump Parts

Post by hhfarang »

Anyone know a place that sells parts for Mitsubishi demand water pumps? I have a Mitsu 305 that is leaking where two metal parts are joined together with bolts. It's most likely just a seal or gasket between the two parts that's gone bad. If not the specific part I could probably cut gasket material to the right shape and size if anyone knows where they sell that.

Thanks

Not sure of the name of the shop, but just past Soi 56 on Petchkasem heading north LHS.

A good plumbing / hardware store that sells new and recon pumps - has most things

Try there.

I've used the shop mentioned above as well and they do seem to have just about everything in that line, either that or they'll get you the part from another source.

Thanks I'll check that place out for spare parts.

In the meantime, my Thai gardener is a genius. He went somewhere and bought (for less than 100 baht) a couple of sheets of some thin waterproof gasket material. He then proceeded to trace around the o-rings onto the material and cut two pieces out exactly the same size and shape of the o-rings. Since the o-rings didn't appear to be damaged, he reckoned they had just flattened enough with age to let water seep by so he reinforced them by putting the gasket material cut to the same dimensions either under or over (or both) the o-rings and so far the leak is stopped!

I think he's due for a bonus this month! :thumb:

Sounds like a man with some common sense - rare as rocking horse shit - give him a pay rise or better still chain him to the pump. :wink:

Hi;
I know this is an old subjet but it just happens to my mitsu water pump just die. Anyone know where we can buy water pump in Hua Hin. I know there is one in home pro but their price is 25-35 % more than out side. So I will appreciate if you can give me the name or phone number so I can call them.
Thank you

If you can tell me where "outside" is I would like to save 25% :cheers:
Most builders merchants sell them. I have not found much difference in price. Cheapest I found was the big "plastic" shop on the klong road ( 48 rai Market)/

Well; for what I checked on Homepro website for Hitachi ปั๊มอัตโนมัติ HITACHI WT-P250GX 250W is quote for 7,xxx.xx so I searched same model in Bangkok(of course, you must be in Bangkok or pass by to pick it up on the way home) at ArunSERVICE is 5900.00 baht. But if the price is closed enough at other Hua Hin stores I will get one in Hua Hin.
