Follow up on AFL news....Freo go 3 and 0 by downing the "brilliant" Cats, last years premiers...............and they all wanted Harveys head mid last season...Hapless tigers winless and to remain so next week as they come up agains a vibrant young Demon side packed with the cream of the past 3 seasons drafts......Malthouse calls Milne a rapist and says sorry today after Saints acept Milne was being a bad boy on the feild fri night...Lions cruzing even if fev isnt fireing.....Big bad Barry kicks 4 in the last quarter as the Doggies roll the Hawks to keep the 08 premers 1 and 2, they thought they were good....now we all know there not, meanwhile Accer goes down with a hammie expected to miss 2 weeks and Lake even though blanketing Franklin cops a spray from coach Eade over disposal errors......Ho and the good news......Blues losses 2 in a row to go 1 and 2...aint that nice? i think it is and Ratterns not happy...one thing ive notice , when the sports section of the Sun newspaper gives somebody a big wrap they usyaly play like a dog that week and there teams goes down, of course im talking about Kruser getting the big wraps and thank you very much the Sun

I quite like watching Aussie Rules Football, can sometimes watch a game on the Australia Network on cable here in Thailand.

It's not like any other game really, kind of a cross between Rugby - American Football (without the pads) and British Bulldog. Tough game though by the looks of it.

Every time I see that it reminds me of the 70's British sitcom 'The Goodies'

I like the game too....but chanel 7s coverage sucks....and the AFL are hell bent on makeing it the fastest game on earth...there killed off a lot of defensive skills and now its run run run.
We dont have wingmen centermen ruck rovers anymore...there all called midfeilders now, (sound familar?)
and if a team gets a bit of a run on then the games over fairly early and often a blow out...its changed a lot but i wouldnt take too much notice of my complaints becasue record numbers are watching it either live or on tv.
Update....Malthouse got fined 7500AU$ for his remark to Milne and his assitant was fined 3000...milne got off...even after he was reported to have said to Malthouse "you gray haired old C...." or words to that affect and call his assistant coach a "f...ing homo" .Milne was to have been charged for rape several years back but the charges were never laid as we assume the female in question refused to take the matter further...again we assume that the St kilda FC paid out a nice part of Milnes salary for that season as a donation for her long holiday overseas she was planning..and the car and the house....
