This fellow decided to swing down Selekam this afternoon at 4pm
Where has he come from? He's by no means a small monkey
Bum Pic but that's 'me and my mobile'
Any other sightings and any ideas about where they are coming from?
Maybe a bus from Khao Takiap

That actually could be the answer. Is it usually only tourists who feed them? If so we know tourist numbers are way down everywhere and they may be moving on to find food. Stay tuned for 'The Monkey Bandits of Hua Hin'.elem wrote:......there were only three of them left at the hill yesterday pm!

Not a new occurance Richard - I had one on my balcony down Soi Kanjanomai 10 years ago. Big sod too - I didn't hang around long enough to be introduced. He made his way via telegraph wires and roofs down to Bernies, where he avoided Max and was fed by Noy for a while. Much to the concern of the golfers and other bar owners down there! Doug will remember.
There was also a huge iguana on Selakem once. Just wandering in the road - 2 feet long at least but really bulky with it. The girls managed to get it into a big bin liner and the last I saw of it was being carried off with it's head sticking out, looking a bit like ET.
I think there's also a pic somewhere on here from about 2 years ago of a big monkey on top of a pole on Petkasem?

PS - a serious thought - I'm sure the monks will feed them during hard times, but do the younger fitter monkeys drive the older ones away from the pack at some point?
