Seems like Benitez has gone with a few million quid in his pocket. Not bad money for being a failure. I know he, (or his players at least) won the European cup but it all went downhill from there. Does anybody know who is in the frame as a replacement?

6 million quid severance package......... I could handle that. Sorry, never really been a supporter of Wendyball, but quite frankly the money side of things is a disgrace. Players on 100K per week plus WTF?? Compare this to the sport of Gods (rugby to the un-educated)........

A failure Arcadian? I think you'll find that the man has won more European trophys than your CLUB and has been more succesful than Wenger in his tenure at Anfield, finishing above you more often than not. Go and watch skysports and read the red tops. [Mod Edit] Please keep to the discussion. There is no reason to get personally. T&Cs are very specific about such things.

I have just come across this post from Baa Baa, not having noticed it before. Your tone is very offensive and your description of tool, idiot would maybe carry more weight if it didn`t contain spelling and grammar mistakes. Why are you in such denial regarding Liverpool fotball club? Were you proud of their last league position, or do you you suffer from selective memory? BTW Liverpool did not finish above ME. So, get real and more objective where LFC are concerned.

Got me there, but still doesn`t explain your unjustified attack. Were you under the influence of strong cider at the time or just pissed off with not being able to brag about your over the hill football club. Anyway, I thought there were forum rules against personal abuse, Mods?

I was a little tipsy actually, I was on holiday in HH at the time and the GF had taken the little one for a sleep so I indulged in a few Leos.

Your post about Benitez just wound me up, nothing personal.

American ribs and corn on the cob at the concession stands being changed to rolling dim sum wagons as we speak. I bet part of the deal is to showcase some of the top Chinese players. :P Pete

Fernando Torres "I am really happy to be back, really happy to stay with all my team-mates. My commitment and loyalty to the club and to the fans is the same as it was on my first day when I signed."

Does this mean LFC will now win the league?

Nope, but it's preferable to THIS

Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas has failed to dampen speculation linking him with a return to Barcelona during a gathering in the north of the city.

Fabregas was brought to tears after a video chronicling his early Barca years and, after addressing the crowd, he hinted that he was keen to return to Catalunya sooner rather than later.

"I hope to see all of you more often and closer," he stated.
