Ok Well my story so far is pretty long, BUT to spare you all that, I am starting out on a really brand new chapter of my life. July 1st fly to BKK, spending 3 nights there, and then on the Monday if you see some guy wandering around looking completely lost.................that will be me.

I am heading for Hua Hin not sure why, but after extensive reading had to make some decision. Not sure how long I am going to stay, the idea is to tour around the whole of Thailand, and other countries at some point. I have a year visa so happy with that. I want to go off to India to watch the Cricket World Cup next year so will be picking some brains about the best way of doing that......................go to the airport probably lol.

Well I can't wait, and I am sure I will back with some stupid question that you have answered about a million times before. Oh I am 52 and spent 30 years in the air force, and reason for the name is I am going to be running a blog under the same name. Cheers for now Paul

I think you will find that the traffic in Hua Hin and BKK will be just as bad as Weymouth.

I got caught in the mayhem there last week.(1 hour from Ridgeway to Wyke)

You will need to purchase 3 extra pairs of eyes, if you plan on driving in LOS.

Hi phtol..... Paul - Welcome to the forum. Sounds great to be starting an adventure of sorts!! If you don't mind me asking, 30 years in the Air Force, you must have seen a fair bit of the world!!

As I have, I'm sure you'll find both Thailand and Hua Hin a great place to be and the guys (and gals) on here extremely helpful and fun.

Its a small world isn't it lol, I think it's even worse this week, boot hill has got one way traffic, and there is two way traffic through brewers quay. So it's a nightmare all over the place, traffic problems to continue until July 2011.....then of course it will all be sorted! As it happens I am going to the smugglers in wyke tonight to watch the football.

No I don't mind you asking.....Yes travelled a fair bit, but never to Asia, and my ambition has always been to travel around Asia, and finally I am going to get to do it. Can't wait!! No real set plan, apart from extensive reading. but Hua Hin is going to be my first stop, maybe make it a base for 6 months.......but to be honest....have no idea what is going to happen............

Yes, already have picked up lots of information from this forum.
