Shipping Thailand to the UK

Post by ipods »

There have been a few threads regarding shipping household effects from the UK to Thailand.

Has anyone gone the other way ie Thailand to the UK.
If so any particular company recommended and has anyone had experience of using a Thai company, if so who, or is it best to use a uk company and let them arrange the Thai end as well.

Sorry ipods can't advise on shipping that way round - but if you've been in Thailand for a few years it might be worth taking serious stock of what you NEED to ship - and the cost - compared with how much it would cost to buy new again back home.
Things like good teak furniture for example - yes - worth considering because it would cost a fortune in the UK. Otherwise there might be very little unless you're talking car/motorbike/good tools and equipment.
A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.

I shipped a house contents to Australia several years ago. I can thoroughly recommend Transpo / Asian Tigers. They have English speaking staff, both in the office, and the team that comes to pack it all. Not one item broken, and at the time the best quote that I had.

Thanks

Transpo / Asian Tigers. I assume are they Thai based. Any contact details for them. PM me if you wish.

What we actually ship, whether its worth it is a good point, and one we are considering. Trying to get an idea of costs and then take a view
