A bit of fun to distract HHADers
1) Name the following three actors
1.jpg (36.64 KiB) Viewed 1575 times
2.jpg (75.42 KiB) Viewed 1575 times
3.jpg (17.19 KiB) Viewed 1575 times
2) Name the three films that link them somehow
3) What is the link between them?
enjoy

#2 is Michael Imperioli.
#3 might be Raymond Massey, but he made his last film before Michael made his first.

Nice challenge Sandman
As this is a collaborative thing;
I believe #1 is Franco Nero (photo from Django?)
#3 is not one R. Massey: but who? looks a 50's bio photo.
Next contribution anyone?

No 1 is, I believe Gian Maria Volonte.
No 2 maybe a young Dennis Hopper.
No 3 - not sure, I thought Dirk Boggard but unlikely although from the same era.
-------------------------
edit No 2 is Michael Imperioli.

Ok..someone got actor 1 right, someone got actor 2 right (loose the moustache then you will recognise him)
number 3 is a bit tricksy as I used a stock photo from his profile so heres an easier photo which is also the key to the question:
3a.jpg (29.7 KiB) Viewed 1519 times
Now do you recognise him?
Now, there are three different films that link these three actors - each actor was in one film
Name the Actors
Name the 3 films
Tell us what the link is.

To muddle it up, I think #2 played in The Sopranos and the American version of Life on Mars. Pete
Edit: Link, all assassins?

Yep, that's Michael Imperioli and is the only one I recognise.

#1 I think was in one or more of the old spaghetti western Clint Eastwood movies i.e., For A few Dollars More, Hang 'em High etc. Pete

#3 could be from the "Shogun" movie/TV series of long ago which starred Richard Chamberlain. Book by the late James Clavell. Pete

No1. For a few dollars more - Gian Maria Volonte as El Indio. (remember the watch music?)
No2. Life on mars - Michael Imperioli as Ray Carling.
No3. The Seven Samurai - Toshiro Mifune as Kikuchiyo.
I haven't a clue what the link might be.

OK -
JD has got the three actors right ....the photos are not neccessarily from the films concerned see...that would be easy. The latter one of Toshiro Mifune is from the right film though JD got the film wrong.
Now, each actor was in a film that shares a common link
Name the 3 films
Name the link
"Science flew men to the moon. Religion flew men into buildings."
"To sin by silence makes cowards of men."

Ok, tho JD got the three actors names right this seems to have been a stumper, so heres clue number 2
The actor is TOSHIRO MIFUNE and the film is YOJIMBO (look it up on IMDB)
now
what are the other two films, and what is the link between all 3 films?
"Science flew men to the moon. Religion flew men into buildings."
"To sin by silence makes cowards of men."

Konichiwa Sandmansan
The Movies:
Django
Yojimbo (Yo!Jimbo)
Last man standing
The common story thread is gangster/Ronin etc arrives in town and plays one mob off against the other.
Same writer Akira Kurosawa in last two movies

oooooohhhhh so nearly right Ill give it to Jimbob
the answers are
Gian Maria Volonte and the film is FISTFULL OF DOLLARS
Michael Imperioli and the film is LAST MAN STANDING
Toshiro Mifune and the film is YOJIMBO
Now...as JB rightly got,
all three films are the same story ... FISTFULL and LAST MAN being "reworkings" of YOJIMBO
JB also scores a
bonus point for getting the real trivia that Akira Kurosawa (who made YOJIMBO) also worked with the scriptwriters to remake it into LAST MAN.
Well done that man!
here are links in case you wish to see these classics either in online or downloadable formats
